What web accessibility is

Accessibility describes whether a website can be used by people of all abilities and disabilities. An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse with the same or similar ease as other visitors, through built-in browser functions and assistive technologies.

Our commitment

Local Government Property Consultants (LGPC) is committed to making our website as accessible as possible. We aim to follow recognised best practice and align with the Web Content Accessi-bility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard.

This means you should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 300% without loss of content or functionality

  • Navigate most of the site using just a keyboard

  • Use speech recognition software to move around pages

  • Use screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA or VoiceOver

  • Read text that has strong colour contrast and clear structure

  • We also keep our content as simple and straightforward as possible.
