Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Statement

Local Government Property Consultants (LGPC) recognises that sustainability, social value, and good governance are essential to the future of local government estates and housing delivery. While we are a small consultancy, our work directly supports councils in achieving their strategic and statutory goals.

Our commitments are structured around three pillars:

    • Support councils in meeting their Net Zero 2050 and sustainable housing objectives through property strategy, estate rationalisation, and land re-use.

    • Encourage sustainable land development that balances financial return, housing need, and environmental stewardship.

    • Champion the delivery of affordable housing and community facilities in local authority property strategies.

    • Recognise the importance of social value in public sector decision-making and ensure it is built into our advice.

    • Operate as an inclusive, ethical consultancy that respects diversity and fairness in all partnerships.

  3. Governance

    • Conduct our business with integrity, transparency, and accountability.

    • Comply with all applicable laws, including UK GDPR, Equality Act 2010, and procurement regulations.

    • Uphold high professional standards as property advisors, delivering advice that is impartial, evidence-based, and aligned with council priorities.

Our aim is to provide trusted, responsible, and forward-looking advice that enables councils to manage their estates effectively and sustainably during and beyond Local Government Reorganisation.
